Resource Guides Overview
N.B. Depending on your relocation program, the resource guide will either be part of your Acclimatization Kit or you will be provided with login details by your Relocation Associate to access the online version.
For each city that Principal Relocation Company covers, we produce an in-house Resource Guide containing valuable, vetted, and essential information for anyone relocating to that specific city.
These resource guides are updated twice annually to make sure that all the information, telephone numbers, etc. are up-to-date. These are guides are extremely useful and act as an extremely useful reference tool for the duration of one’s assignment.
Each guide contains the following categories*:
1. Country Overview – A detailed description of the host country with some general information included regarding everyday life.
2. City Profile – A comprehensive overview of the specific city including some useful information regarding the day-to-day life there.
3. City Areas – An in-depth look at the various areas of the city with a focus on expatriate needs and requirements.
4. Public and Private Transport – Essential information on how to use the local transportation system including useful phone numbers.
5. Maid Service – An overview on how to find domestic help including general information on how to employee such workers.
6. Banking Services – Essential information such as opening hours, types of bank accounts, and the other services offered by local banks.
7. Libraries and Bookstores – A thorough list of libraries and bookstores in the specific city including a section regarding those that sell book in different languages.
8. Embassies and Consulates – A thorough list of Embassies and Consulates in the host country and in the specific city.
9. Expat, Cultural and Support Groups – A comprehensive list of intervention services available locally, and where possible, with an emphasis on expatriate groups.
10. Shopping – A very detailed section regarding all aspects of shipping including opening hours, full addresses of the stores listed under each category, and an easy-to-use conversion table for clothing & shoe sizes.
11. Public Holidays – A complete list of all the national and local holidays.
12. Medical Services, Hospitals and Pharmacies – A vital and comprehensive list of medical services available in the specific city including a list of medical specialists.
13. Education – An overview of the educational system in the host country including a list of international schools.
14. Internet Cafés – A list of establishments where one can use the internet by the hour.
15. Language Services – A overview of the six levels regarding the language courses that Principal Relocation Company provides.
16. Museums – A exhaustive list of museums related to the specific city including telephone numbers and addresses.
17. Recreational Areas – An ample list of recreational areas including parks and gardens where one can go to relax, jog, and enjoy a picnic.
18. Law Enforcement – An extremely useful reference list of the different bodies that make up Law Enforcement in the host country.

necessary numbers for suppliers.
